The Answer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHGHIJIJ KLKL

I made my bed beneath the pinesA
Where the sea washed the sandy barsB
I heard the music of the windsC
And blest the aureate face of MarsB
All night a lilac splendor throveD
Above the heaven's shadowy vergeE
And in my heart the voice of loveF
Kept music with the dreaming surgeE
-
A little maid was at my sideG
She slept I scarcely slept at allH
Until toward the morning tideG
A dream possessed me with its thrallH
She sweetly breathed around my breastI
I felt her warmth like drowsy blissJ
Then came the vision of unrestI
I saw your face and felt your kissJ
-
I woke and knew with what dismayK
She read my secret and surpriseL
She only said Again 'tis dayK
How red your cheeks how bright your eyesL
