State's Attorney Fallas Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEFGHIJKLMANG

I the scourge wielder balance wreckerA
Smiter with whips and swordsB
I hater of the breakers of the lawC
I legalist inexorable and bitterA
Driving the jury to hang the madman Barry HoldenD
Was made as one dead by light too bright for eyesE
And woke to face a Truth with bloody browF
Steel forceps fumbled by a doctor's handG
Against my boy's head as he entered lifeH
Made him an idiotI
I turned to books of scienceJ
To care for himK
That's how the world of those whose minds are sickL
Became my work in life and all my worldM
Poor ruined boy You were at last the potterA
And I and all my deeds of charityN
The vessels of your handG
