Scholfield Huxley Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFGHHIEJAKLMNON PQA

God ask me not to record your wondersA
I admit the stars and the sunsB
And the countless worldsC
But I have measured their distancesD
And weighed them and discovered their substancesD
I have devised wings for the airE
And keels for waterF
And horses of iron for the earthG
I have lengthened the vision you gave me a million timesH
And the hearing you gave me a million timesH
I have leaped over space with speechI
And taken fire for light out of the airE
I have built great cities and bored through the hillsJ
And bridged majestic watersA
I have written the Iliad and HamletK
And I have explored your mysteriesL
And searched for you without ceasingM
And found you again after losing youN
In hours of wearinessO
And I ask youN
How would you like to create a sunP
And the next day have the wormsQ
Slipping in and out between your fingersA
