I had no objection at allA
To selling my household effects at auctionB
On the village squareC
It gave my beloved flock the chanceD
To get something which had belonged to meE
For a memorialF
But that trunk which was struck offG
To Burchard the grog keeperH
Did you know it contained the manuscriptsI
Of a lifetime of sermonsJ
And he burned them as waste paperH
