I lost my patronage in Spoon RiverA
From trying to put my mind in the cameraB
To catch the soul of the personC
The very best picture I ever tookD
Was of Judge Somers attorney at lawE
He sat upright and had me pauseF
Till he got his cross eye straightG
Then when he was ready he said all rightH
And I yelled overruled and his eye turned upI
And I caught him just as he used to lookD
