Oscar Hummel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIDJCKLMNOP

I staggered on through darknessA
There was a hazy sky a few starsB
Which I followed as best I couldC
It was nine o'clock I was trying to get homeD
But somehow I was lostE
Though really keeping the roadF
Then I reeled through a gate and into a yardG
And called at the top of my voiceH
Oh Fiddler Oh Mr JonesI
I thought it was his house and he would show me the way homeD
But who should step out but A D BloodJ
In his night shirt waving a stick of woodC
And roaring about the cursed saloonsK
And the criminals they madeL
You drunken Oscar Hummel he saidM
As I stood there weaving to and froN
Taking the blows from the stick in his handO
Till I dropped down dead at his feetP
