Minerva Jones Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEAFAGHIJ| I am Minerva the village poetess | A |
| Hooted at jeered at by the Yahoos of the street | B |
| For my heavy body cock eye and rolling walk | C |
| And all the more when Butch Weldy | D |
| Captured me after a brutal hunt | E |
| He left me to my fate with Doctor Meyers | A |
| And I sank into death growing numb from the feet up | F |
| Like one stepping deeper and deeper into a stream of ice | A |
| Will some one go to the village newspaper | G |
| And gather into a book the verses I wrote | H |
| I thirsted so for love | I |
| I hungered so for life | J |
