Lucius Atherton Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHCIJKLMHNOPQR

When my moustache curledA
And my hair was blackB
And I wore tight trousersC
And a diamond studD
I was an excellent knave of hearts and took many a trickE
But when the gray hairs began to appearF
Lo a new generation of girlsG
Laughed at me not fearing meH
And I had no more exciting adventuresC
Wherein I was all but shot for a heartless devilI
But only drabby affairs warmed over affairsJ
Of other days and other menK
And time went on until I lived atL
Mayer's restaurantM
Partaking of short orders a gray untidyH
Toothless discarded rural Don JuanN
There is a mighty shade here who singsO
Of one named BeatriceP
And I see now that the force that made him greatQ
Drove me to the dregs of lifeR
