Jennie M'grew Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMCNNot where the stairway turns in the dark | A |
A hooded figure shriveled under a flowing cloak | B |
Not yellow eyes in the room at night | C |
Staring out from a surface of cobweb gray | D |
And not the flap of a condor wing | E |
When the roar of life in your ears begins | F |
As a sound heard never before | G |
But on a sunny afternoon | H |
By a country road | I |
Where purple rag weeds bloom along a straggling fence | J |
And the field is gleaned and the air is still | K |
To see against the sun light something black | L |
Like a blot with an iris rim | M |
That is the sign to eyes of second sight | C |
And that I saw | N |
