J. Milton Miles Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEFGAHI

Whenever the Presbyterian bellA
Was rung by itself I knew it as the Presbyterian bellA
But when its sound was mingledB
With the sound of the Methodist the ChristianC
The Baptist and the CongregationalD
I could no longer distinguish itE
Nor any one from the others or either of themF
And as many voices called to me in lifeG
Marvel not that I could not tellA
The true from the falseH
Nor even at last the voice that I should have knownI
