Isaiah Beethoven Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGGHIJBHKGBLMNB BODBGPQR

They told me I had three months to liveA
So I crept to BernadotteB
And sat by the mill for hours and hoursC
Where the gathered waters deeply movingD
Seemed not to moveE
O world that's youF
You are but a widened place in the riverG
Where Life looks down and we rejoice for herG
Mirrored in us and so we dreamH
And turn away but when againI
We look for the face behold the low landsJ
And blasted cotton wood trees where we emptyB
Into the larger streamH
But here by the mill the castled cloudsK
Mocked themselves in the dizzy waterG
And over its agate floor at nightB
The flame of the moon ran under my eyesL
Amid a forest stillness brokenM
By a flute in a hut on the hillN
At last when I came to lie in bedB
Weak and in pain with the dreams about meB
The soul of the river had entered my soulO
And the gathered power of my soul was movingD
So swiftly it seemed to be at restB
Under cities of cloud and underG
Spheres of silver and changing worldsP
Until I saw a flash of trumpetsQ
Above the battlements over TimeR
