Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGCHCGIJCKLJMNO PQRHH

When Reuben Pantier ran away and threw meA
I went to Springfield There I met a lushB
Whose father just deceased left him a fortuneC
He married me when drunkD
My life was wretchedE
A year passed and one day they found him deadF
That made me rich I moved on to ChicagoG
After a time met Tyler Rountree villainC
I moved on to New York A gray haired magnateH
Went mad about me so another fortuneC
He died one night right in my arms you knowG
I saw his purple face for years thereafterI
There was almost a scandalJ
I moved on This time to Paris I was now a womanC
Insidious subtle versed in the world and richK
My sweet apartment near the Champs Eacute lys eacute esL
Became a center for all sorts of peopleJ
Musicians poets dandies artists noblesM
Where we spoke French and German Italian EnglishN
I wed Count Navigato native of GenoaO
We went to Rome He poisoned me I thinkP
Now in the Campo Santo overlookingQ
The sea where young Columbus dreamed new worldsR
See what they chiseled Contessa NavigatoH
Implora eterna quieteH
