And those who could not pay flocked to me | D |
I was good hearted easy Doctor Meyers | E |
I was healthy happy in comfortable fortune | F |
Blest with a congenial mate my children raised | C |
All wedded doing well in the world | C |
And then one night Minerva the poetess | E |
Came to me in her trouble crying | G |
I tried to help her out she died | C |
They indicted me the newspapers disgraced me | D |
My wife perished of a broken heart | C |
And pneumonia finished me | D |
