Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDDAFGDHIJKLMKN DOThe buzzards wheel slowly | A |
In wide circles in a sky | B |
Faintly hazed as from dust from the road | C |
And a wind sweeps through the pasture where I lie | B |
Beating the grass into long waves | D |
My kite is above the wind | E |
Though now and then it wobbles | D |
Like a man shaking his shoulders | D |
And the tail streams out momentarily | A |
Then sinks to rest | F |
And the buzzards wheel and wheel | G |
Sweeping the zenith with wide circles | D |
Above my kite And the hills sleep | H |
And a farm house white as snow | I |
Peeps from green trees far away | J |
And I watch my kite | K |
For the thin moon will kindle herself ere long | L |
Then she will swing like a pendulum dial | M |
To the tail of my kite | K |
A spurt of flame like a water dragon | N |
Dazzles my eyes | D |
I am shaken as a banner | O |
