Cooney Potter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBEBFGHIJ

I inherited forty acres from my FatherA
And by working my wife my two sons and two daughtersB
From dawn to dusk I acquiredC
A thousand acresB
But not contentD
Wishing to own two thousand acresB
I bustled through the years with axe and plowE
Toiling denying myself my wife my sons my daughtersB
Squire Higbee wrongs me to sayF
That I died from smoking Red Eagle cigarsG
Eating hot pie and gulping coffeeH
During the scorching hours of harvest timeI
Brought me here ere I had reached my sixtieth yearJ
