Charlie French Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHHICHJKL

Did you ever find outA
Which one of the O'Brien boys it wasB
Who snapped the toy pistol against my handC
There when the flags were red and whiteD
In the breeze and Bucky EstilE
Was firing the cannon brought to Spoon RiverF
From Vicksburg by Captain HarrisG
And the lemonade stands were runningH
And the band was playingH
To have it all spoiledI
By a piece of a cap shot under the skin of my handC
And the boys all crowding about me sayingH
You'll die of lock jaw Charlie sureJ
Oh dear oh dearK
What chum of mine could have done itL
