Ami Green Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGGHIJKL

Not a youth with hoary head and haggard eyeA
But an old man with a smooth skinB
And black hairC
I had the face of a boy as long as I livedD
And for years a soul that was stiff and bentE
In a world which saw me just as a jestF
To be hailed familiarly when it choseG
And loaded up as a man when it choseG
Being neither man nor boyH
In truth it was soul as well as bodyI
Which never matured and I say to youJ
That the much sought prize of eternal youthK
Is just arrested growthL
