America In 1904 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBDCBEFGEFG

Europe Conquers AmericaA
-
Strong for the strong and in his own conceitB
Half boy half madman playing with the fireC
Usurper hoodlum wed to his desireC
Loud in the hunt afraid albeit to beatB
The wolves which reared him always with swift feetB
Booted and spurred to huddle in the mireD
The malcontents though Freedom die no higherC
Launching his truncheon only to the streetB
Thundering at millionaires unlearned though readE
In human agony surrendered upF
To glory war of empty pomp the chiefG
Europa thou hast conquered with bowed headE
For Freedom slain who prayed might pass the cupF
We pray in faith thy triumph may be briefG
