She'll be here for a week and we've so much to do | C |
That we can't afford to be bothered by you | C |
So get up and dress | D |
Eat your breakfast in less | D |
Than a jiffy She's coming today clear the track | E |
Here's your hat Now good bye | F |
Move along and be spry | F |
You must hurry away but O don't hurry back ' | G |

When the dressmaker comes every room in the place | H |
Is littered with patterns and trimmings and lace | H |
There are snippings and cuttings from parlor to kitchen | I |
And stuff on each bed that the women are stitchin' | I |
And never a chair from the time they begin it | J |
But is sure to have needles and pins sticking in it | J |
And always they say | B |
At the coming of day | B |
'Get up and get out just as quick as you can | I |
Hurry up now Skiddoo | B |
This is no place for you | C |
When the dressmaker's here we can't fuss with a man | I |

They hand me my hat and command me to roam | K |
And the meals they do get would arouse Dr Wiley | L |
The chops are half cooked and the coffee is 'riley ' | - |
