The Happy Man Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GBFB HBIB JKLK BMIM ABCB

If you would know a happy manA
Go find the fellow whoB
Has had a bout with trouble grimC
And just come smiling throughB
-
The load is off his shoulders nowD
Where yesterday he frownedE
And saw no joy in life to dayF
He laughs his way aroundE
-
He's done the very thing he thoughtG
That he could never doB
His sun is shining high to dayF
And all his skies are blueB
-
He's stronger than he was beforeH
Should trouble come anewB
He'll know how much his strength can bearI
And how much he can doB
-
To day he has the right to smileJ
And he may gaily singK
For he has conquered where he fearedL
The pain of failure's stingK
-
Comparison has taught him tooB
The sweetest hours are thoseM
Which follow on the heels of careI
With laughter and reposeM
-
If you would meet a happy manA
Go find the fellow whoB
Has had a bout with trouble grimC
And just come smiling throughB
