My Books And I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEGHIHJKLKMNON PQNR

My books and I are good old palsA
My laughing books are gayB
Just suited for my merry moodsC
When I am wont to playB
Bill Nye comes down to joke with meD
And Oh the joy he spreadsE
Just like two fools we sit and laughF
And shake our merry headsE
When I am in a thoughtful moodG
With Stevenson I sitH
Who seems to know I've had enoughI
Of Bill Nye and his witH
And so more thoughtful than I amJ
He talks of lofty thingsK
And thus an evening hour we spendL
Sedate and grave as kingsK
And should my soul be torn with griefM
Upon my shelf I findN
A little volume torn and thumbedO
For comfort just designedN
I take my little Bible downP
And read its pages o'erQ
And when I part from it I findN
I'm stronger than beforeR
