When I have quit these earthly scenes | E |
That I have truly toiled and well | F |
But not alone for that I strive | G |

Honor has joys for all alive | G |
That are as infinitely dear | I |

More precious than my children's love | K |
When I on earth shall cease to live | G |
And go to join the realms above | K |
Were there no future then I say | D |
I still should strive to faithful be | L |

A baby's kiss a faithful wife | M |
And friends who trust are not these all | N |
Rewards that honor earns in life | M |
