Charms Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCC DEDECCCC FGFGCCCC

SWEET is a rosebud pink or redA
And sweet are the blooms of MayB
And sweet is the fragrance about us shedA
On many a summer dayB
Oh the world is full of such sweetness rareC
To make our joys completerC
But there 's nothing so sweet on this earth I swearC
But a baby's smile is sweeterC
-
Fair is the blue in the summer skiesD
And fair is the summer sunE
And fair is the look in a sweetheart's eyesD
When a man her heart has wonE
The world is crowded with splendors fairC
To gladden each burden bearerC
But there's nothing so fair on the earth I swearC
But the charms of a babe are fairerC
-
Dear to us all are the friends we loveF
And dear are the hopes we cling toG
And dear indeed are the memories ofF
The loved ones we used to sing toG
Oh the world is crowded with treasures dearC
To our hearts above all they 're nearerC
But there's nothing so dear you can mention hereC
But the baby you love is dearerC
