ever seeA
He's just so 'fraid he runs awayB
When all of us fellows want to playB
An' says he dassent stay aboutC
Coz if his father found it outC
He'd wallop him An' he can't goD
With us to see a picture showD
On Saturdays an' it's too badE
But he's afraid to ask his dadE
-
When he gets his report card heA
Is just as scared as scared can beA
An' once I saw him when he criedF
Becoz although he'd tried an' triedF
His best the teacher didn't careG
An' only marked his spelling fairG
An' he told me there'd be a fightH
When his dad saw his card that nightH
It seems to me it's awful badE
To be so frightened of your dadE
-
My Dad ain't that way I can goD
An' tell him everything I knowD
An' ask him things an' when he comesI
Back home at night he says we're chumsI
An' we go out an' take a walkJ
An' all the time he lets me talkJ
I ain't scared to tell him whatK
I've done to day that I should notL
When I get home I'm always gladE
To stay around an' play with DadE
-
Bill Jones he says he wishes heA
Could have a father just like meA
But his dad hasn't time to playB
An' so he chases him awayB
An' scolds him when he makes a noiseM
An' licks him if he breaks his toysM
Sometimes Bill says he's got to lieN
Or else get whipped an' that is whyN
It seems to me it's awful badE
To be so frightened of your dadE
