Rhyme Scheme: ABBC DEAFGB HIJFKB LMNOPQ RSSTLT UFFVKFGB

I wait for the one who promisedA
Promised to returnB
Not just returnB
But return for a lifetimeC
-
Days passD
Long are the nightsE
Freezing even when degrees are highestA
But I hang on to hopeF
That the one I wait forG
Shall surely returnB
-
Uncertainty is the world l live inH
Is it naivety or obsessionI
For I know not what may comeJ
I just hopeF
I simply believeK
He shall returnB
-
Sitting by the windowL
Staring at the starsM
Mind blown awayN
Struck by how fast time fliesO
Memory flashesP
It has been two yearsQ
-
I wait but it seems futileR
He is nowhereS
Disappears into thin airS
No hello no goodbyeT
He is the sweetest helloL
But the most painful goodbyeT
-
He says lose everythingU
But never lose hopeF
And because of hopeF
I still hang onV
I still believeK
I still hopeF
That the one I wait forG
Shall surely returnB
