On A Cape May Warbler Who Flew Against My Window Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGF HIEE EEEJ KCLM

She's stopped in her southern tracksA
Brought haply to this hard knockB
When she shoots from the tall spruceC
And snaps her neck on the glassD
-
From the fall grass I gather herE
And give her to my silent childrenF
Who give her a decent burialG
Under the dogwood in the gardenF
-
They lay their gifs in the graveH
Matches a clothes peg a coinI
Fire paper for her sprinkle herE
With water fold earth over herE
-
She is out of her element foreverE
Who was air's high spirited daughterE
What guardian wings can I conjureE
Over my own young their migrationsJ
-
The children retreat indoorsK
Shadows flicker in the tall spruceC
Small birds flicker like shadowsL
Ghosts come nest in my branchesM
