The Big Fellow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJIKLIAEMNOP QRASTUAV

A huge six footerA
Eyes bay blueB
And as deepC
Lower jaw like a cliffD
Tongue silentE
As hard and strong as a huskyF
A little manG
In a pressed suitH
Standing before himI
Had dug a name out of the pastJ
And flung it at himI
Under cover of lawK
The big fellowL
Leaned over himI
Like a steel girderA
Just for a momentE
Then swung around on his heelM
Without strikingN
And I thought of the big NewfoundlandO
I saw asleep by a rockP
The day beforeQ
That was galvanized by a challengeR
But eying a curA
He turnedS
YawnedT
Closed one eyeU
Then the otherA
And sleptV
