Come Not The Seasons Here Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEED AFCGHIIH AHCHJKJK LMLMNONO

Comes not the springtime hereA
Though the snowdrop cameB
And the time of the cowslip is nearC
For a yellow flameB
Was found in a tuft of greenD
And the joyous shoutE
Of a child rang outE
That a cuckoo's eggs were seenD
-
Comes not the summer hereA
Though the cowslip be goneF
Though the wild rose blow as the yearC
Draws faithfully onG
Though the face of the poppy be redH
In the morning lightI
And the ground be whiteI
With the bloom of the locust shedH
-
Comes not the autumn hereA
Though someone saidH
He found a leaf in the sereC
By an aster deadH
And knew that the summer was doneJ
For a herdsman criedK
That his pastures were brown in the sunJ
And his wells were driedK
-
Nor shall the winter comeL
Though the elm be bareM
And every voice be dumbL
On the frozen airM
But the flap of a waterfowlN
In the marsh aloneO
Or the hoot of a horned owlN
On a glacial stoneO
