Before An Altar Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BABA CDCE FGFG

After GueudecourtA
-
Break we the bread once moreB
The cup we pass aroundA
No rather let us pourB
This wine upon the groundA
-
And on the salver layC
The bread there to remainD
Perhaps some other dayC
Shrovetide will come againE
-
Blurred is the rubric nowF
And shadowy the tokenG
When blood is on the browF
And the frail body brokenG
