Windflowers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCAA BBDD EEFF

When I was little and goodA
I walked in the dappled woodA
Where light white windflowers grewB
And hyacinths heavy and blueB
-
The windflowers fluttered lightC
Like butterflies white and brightC
The bluebells tremulous stoodA
Deep in the heart of the woodA
-
I gathered the white and the blueB
The wild wet woodland throughB
With hands too silly and smallD
To clasp and carry them allD
-
Some dropped from my hands and diedE
By the home road's grassy sideE
And those that my fond hands pressedF
Died even before the restF
