The Day Of Judgment Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEFE GHIHJKLK MNONPQCQ

When the bearing and doing are overA
And no more is to do or bearB
God will see us and judge usC
The kind of men we wereA
And our sins so ugly and heavyD
We shall drag them into His sightE
And throw them down at the foot of the throneF
Foul on the steps of lightE
-
We shall not be shamed or frightenedG
Though the angels are all at handH
For He will look at our burdenI
And He will understandH
He will turn to the little angelsJ
Agog to hear and obeyK
And point to the festering sin loadsL
With Take that rubbish awayK
-
Then the steps will be cleared of the burdensM
That we threw down at His feetN
And we shall be washed in the tears of ChristO
And our tears bathe His feetN
And the harvest of all our sinningP
That moment's shame will reapQ
When we look in the eyes that love usC
And know we have made them weepQ
