May Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDECE FGHGIJKJ

Birds in the green of my gardenA
Blackbirds and throstle and wrenB
Wet your dear wings in the tears that are Spring'sC
And so to your singing againB
Birds in my blossoming orchardD
Chaffinch and goldfinch and larkE
Preen your bright wings little happy live thingsC
The May trees grow white in the parkE
-
Birds in the leafy wet woodlandsF
Cuckoo and nightingale brownG
Sing to the sound of the rain on green groundH
The rain on green leaves dripping downG
Fresh with the rain of the May timeI
Rich with the promise of JuneJ
Deep in her heart where the little leaves partK
Love like a bird sings in tuneJ
