Love And Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCE FGFHIJKL

Love only sings when Love is youngA
When Love is young and still at playB
How shall we count the sweet songs sungA
When Love and Joy kept holidayB
But now Love has to earn his breadC
By lifelong stress and toil of tearsD
He finds his nest of song birds deadC
That sang so sweet in other yearsE
-
For Love's a man now strong and braveF
To fight for you for you to liveG
And Love that once such bright songs gaveF
Has better things than songs to giveH
He gives you now a lifelong faithI
A hand to help in joy or painJ
And he will sing no more till DeathK
Shall come to make him young againL
