In The Shallows Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGBGB CGCGGHGH

Among the shallows where the sandA
Is golden and the waves are smallB
I love to lie and to my handA
How many little treasures fallB
What shells and seaweed grace the shoreC
What happy birds on happy wingsD
And for companions what a storeC
Of humble happy living thingsD
-
Yet the sea's depths are also mineE
And in the old days I used to diveF
Into the caves where corals shineE
And where the shimmering mer folk liveF
I am the master of the seaG
In deeps where fairy flowers uncurlB
That treasure house belongs to meG
Those amber halls those stairs of pearlB
-
But now thereto I go no moreC
Because of all the argosiesG
Deep sunk upon the ocean floorC
Where all the world's lost treasure liesG
Where loveless laughter curls the lipsG
Of wild sea creatures at their sportH
About the bones of noble shipsG
My ships that never came to portH
