Was There A Time Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEFGH

Was there a time when dancers with their fiddlesA
In children's circuses could stay their troublesA
There was a time they could cry over booksB
But time has sent its maggot on their trackC
Under the arc of the sky they are unsafeD
What's never known is safest in this lifeE
Under the skysigns they who have no armsF
have cleanest hands and as the heartless ghostG
Alone's unhurt so the blind man sees bestH
