Unluckily for a deathA
Waiting with phoenix underB
The pyre yet to be lighted of my sins and daysC
And for the woman in shadesD
Saint carved and sensual among the scuddingE
Dead and gone dedicate forever to my selfF
Though the brawl of the kiss has not occurredG
On the clay cold mouth on the fireB
Branded forehead that could bindH
Her constant nor the winds of love broken wideI
To the wind the choir and cloisterB
Of the wintry nunnery of the order of lustJ
Beneath my life that sighs for the seducer's comingE
In the sun strokes of summerB
-
Loving on this sea banged guiltK
My holy lucky bodyL
Under the cloud against love is caught and held and kissedM
In the mill of the midstN
Of the descending day the dark our follyL
Cut to the still star in the order of the quickE
But blessed by such heroic hosts in your everyL
Inch and glance that the woundO
Is certain god and the ceremony of soulsP
Is celebrated there and communion between sunsQ
Never shall my self chantR
About the saint in shades while the endless breviaryL
Turns of your prayed flesh nor shall I shoo the bird below meL
The death biding two lie lonelyL
-
I see the tigron in tearsS
In the androgynous darkE
His striped and noon maned tribe striding to holocaustT
The she mules bear their minotaursS
The duck billed platypus broody in a milk of birdsS
I see the wanting nun saint carved in a garbU
Of shades symbol of desire beyond my hoursS
And guilts great crotch and giantV
Continence I see the unfired phoenix heraldW
And heaven crier arrow now of aspiringE
And the renouncing of islandsS
All love but for the full assemblage in flowerL
Of the living flesh is monstrous or immortalX
And the grave its daughtersS
-
Love my fate got luckilyL
Teaches with no tellingE
That the phoenix' bid for heaven and the desire afterL
Death in the carved nunneryL
Both shall fail if I bow not to your blessingE
Nor walk in the cool of your mortal gardenY
With immortality at my side like Christ the skyE
This I know from the nativeZ
Tongue of your translating eyes The young stars told meL
Hurling into beginning like Christ the childA2
Lucklessly she must lie patientV
And the vaulting bird be still O my true love hold meL
In your every inch and glance is the globe of genesis spunY
And the living earth your sonsS
