Sometimes The Sky's Too Bright Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFFGHIJKLIFMNOP QRSTTUAVWXY

Sometimes the sky's too brightA
Or has too many clouds or birdsB
And far away's too sharp a sunC
To nourish thinking of himD
Why is my hand too bluntE
To cut in front of meF
My horrid images for meF
Of over fruitful smilesG
The weightless touching of the lipH
I wish to knowI
I cannot lift but canJ
The creature with the angel's faceK
Who tells me hurtL
And sees my body goI
Down into miseryF
No stopping Put the smileM
Where tears have come to dryN
The angel's hurt is leftO
His telling burnsP
-
Sometimes a woman's heart has saltQ
Or too much bloodR
I tear her breastS
And see the blood is mineT
Flowing from her but mineT
And then I thinkU
Perhaps the sky's too brightA
And watch my handV
But do not follow itW
And feel the pain it givesX
But do not acheY
