Shall Gods Be Said To Thump The Clouds Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DBE EFE GHIE

Shall gods be said to thump the cloudsA
When clouds are cursed by thunderB
Be said to weep when weather howlsC
Shall rainbows be their tunics' colourB
-
When it is rain where are the godsD
Shall it be said they sprinkle waterB
From garden cans or free the floodsE
-
Shall it be said that venuswiseE
An old god's dugs are pressed and prickedF
The wet night scolds me like a nurseE
-
It shall be said that gods are stoneG
Shall a dropped stone drum on the groundH
Flung gravel chime Let the stones speakI
With tongues that talk all tonguesE
