Light Breaks Where No Sun Shines Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIJKL GMNOPL QRSSRT USOOSV

Light breaks where no sun shinesA
Where no sea runs the waters of the heartB
Push in their tidesC
And broken ghosts with glowworms in their headsD
The things of lightE
File through the flesh where no flesh decks the bonesF
-
A candle in the thighsG
Warms youth and seed and burns the seeds of ageH
Where no seed stirsI
The fruit of man unwrinkles in the starsJ
Bright as a figK
Where no wax is the candle shows its hairsL
-
Dawn breaks behind the eyesG
From poles of skull and toe the windy bloodM
Slides like a seaN
Nor fenced nor staked the gushers of the skyO
Spout to the rodP
Divining in a smile the oil of tearsL
-
Night in the sockets roundsQ
Like some pitch moon the limit of the globesR
Day lights the boneS
Where no cold is the skinning gales unpinS
The winter's robesR
The film of spring is hanging from the lidsT
-
Light breaks on secret lotsU
On tips of thought where thoughts smell in the rainS
When logics dieO
The secret of the soil grows through the eyeO
And blood jumps in the sunS
Above the waste allotments the dawn haltsV
