How shall my animalA
Whose wizard shape I trace in the cavernous skullA
Vessel of abscesses and exultation's shellB
Endure burial under the spelling wallC
The invoked shrouding veil at the cap of the faceD
Who should be furiousE
Drunk as a vineyard snail flailed like an octopusF
Roaring crawling quarrelA
With the outside weathersG
The natural circle of the discovered skiesH
Draw down to its weird eyesH
-
How shall it magnetizeH
Towards the studded male in a bent midnight blazeH
That melts the lionhead's heel and horseshoe of the heartI
A brute land in the cool top of the country daysH
To trot with a loud mate the haybeds of a mileJ
Love and labour and killK
In quick sweet cruel light till the locked ground sproutL
The black burst sea rejoiceH
The bowels turn turtleA
Claw of the crabbed veins squeeze from each red particleA
The parched and raging voiceH
-
Fishermen of mermenM
Creep and harp on the tide sinking their charmed bent pinM
With bridebait of gold bread I with a living skeinM
Tongue and ear in the thread angle the temple boundN
Curl locked and animal cavepools of spells and boneM
Trace out a tentacleA
Nailed with an open eye in the bowl of wounds and weedO
To clasp my fury on groundN
And clap its great blood downM
Never shall beast be born to atlas the few seasH
Or poise the day on a hornM
-
Sigh long clay cold lie shornM
Cast high stunned on gilled stone sly scissors ground in frostP
Clack through the thicket of strength love hewn in pillars dropsH
With carved bird saint and suns the wrackspiked maiden mouthQ
Lops as a bush plumed with flames the rant of the fierce eyeR
Clips short the gesture of breathS
Die in red feathers when the flying heaven's cutT
And roll with the knocked earthU
Lie dry rest robbed my beastV
You have kicked from a dark den leaped up the whinnying lightW
And dug your grave in my breastX
