Here In This Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBC DEFG HIJKJ KLMN

Here in this spring stars float along the voidA
Here in this ornamental winterB
Down pelts the naked weatherB
This summer buries a spring birdC
-
Symbols are selected from the years'D
Slow rounding of four seasons' coastsE
In autumn teach three seasons' firesF
And four birds' notesG
-
I should tell summer from the trees the wormsH
Tell if at all the winter's stormsI
Or the funeral of the sunJ
I should learn spring by the cuckooingK
And the slug should teach me destructionJ
-
A worm tells summer better than the clockK
The slug's a living calendar of daysL
What shall it tell me if a timeless insectM
Says the world wears awayN
