This Is Another Day Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAEFGHI JBKLMNOP QRSTBUVB

I am mine own priest and I shrive myselfA
Of all my wasted yesterdays Though sinB
And sloth and foolishness and all ill weedsC
Of error evil and neglect grow rankD
And ugly there I dare forgive myselfA
That error sin and sloth and foolishnessE
God knows that yesterday I played the foolF
God knows that yesterday I played the knaveG
But shall I therefore cloud this new dawn o'erH
With fog of futile sighs and vain regretsI
-
This is another day And flushed Hope walksJ
Adown the sunward slopes with golden shoonB
This is another day and its young strengthK
Is laid upon the quivering hills untilL
Like Egypt's Memnon they grow quick with songM
This is another day and the bold worldN
Leaps up and grasps its light and laughs as leaptO
Prometheus up and wrenched the fire from ZeusP
-
This is another day are its eyes blurredQ
With maudlin grief for any wasted pastR
A thousand thousand failures shall not dauntS
Let dust clasp dust death death I am aliveT
And out of all the dust and death of mineB
Old selves I dare to lift a singing heartU
And living faith my spirit dares drink deepV
Of the red mirth mantling in the cup of mornB
