The Rondeau Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBA AABC AABDAC

Your rondeau's tale must still be lightA
No bugle call to life's stern fightA
Rather a smiling interludeB
Memorial to some transient moodB
Of idle love and gala nightA
-
Its manner is the merest sleightA
O' hand yet therein dwells its mightA
For if the heavier touch intrudeB
Your rondeau's staleC
-
Fragrant and fragile fleet and brightA
And wing'd with whim it gleams in flightA
Like April blossoms wind pursuedB
Down aisles of tangled underwoodD
Nor be too serious when you writeA
Your rondeau's tailC
