The Parting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFFGGAB HBGGII JJEEHB

We have come the primrose wayA
Folly thou and IB
Such a glamor and a graceC
Ever glimmered on thy faceC
Ever such a witcheryD
Lit the laughing eyes of theeE
Could a fool like me withstandF
Folly's feast and beckoning handF
Drinking how thy lips' caressG
Spiced the cup of waywardnessG
So we came the primrose wayA
Folly thou and IB
-
But now Folly we must partH
Folly thou and IB
Shall one look with mirth or tearsG
Back on all his wasted yearsG
Purposes dissolved in wineI
Pearls flung to the heedless swineI
-
Idle days and nights of mirthJ
Were they pleasures nothing worthJ
Well there's no gainsaying weE
Squandered youth right merrilyE
But now Folly we must partH
Folly thou and IB
