A Nightmare Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFFF FGBGHFIF

Leagues before me leagues behindA
Clamor warring wastes of floodB
All the streams of all the worldsC
Flung together mad of moodD
Through the canon beats a soundE
Regular of intervalF
Distant drumming muffled dullF
Thunderously rhythmicalF
-
Crafts slip by my startled soulF
Soul that cowers a thing apartG
They are corpuscles of bloodB
That's the throbbing of a heartG
God of terrors am I madH
Through my body mine own soulF
Shrunken to an atom's sizeI
Voyages toward an unguessed goalF
