Zeroing In Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIEJKLMNOPQRJ STAUDVWUXYZA2B2AZC2

I am a landscape he saidA
a landscape and a person walking in that landscapeB
There are daunting cliffs thereC
And plains glad in their wayD
of brown monotony But especiallyE
there are sinkholes placesF
of sudden terror of small circumferenceG
and malevolent depthsH
I know she said When I set forthI
to walk in myself as it might beE
on a fine afternoon forgettingJ
sooner or later I come to where sedgeK
and clumps of white flowers rue perhapsL
mark the bogland and I knowM
there are quagmires there that can pull youN
down and sink you in bubbling mudO
We had an old dog he told her when I was a boyP
a good dog friendly But there was an injured spotQ
on his head if you happenedR
just to touch it he'd jump up yelpingJ
and bite you He bit a young childS
they had to take him down to the vet's and destroy himT
No one knows where it is she saidA
and even by accident no one touches itU
It's inside my landscape and only I making my wayD
preoccupied through my life crossing my hillsV
sleeping on green moss of my own woodsW
I myself without warning touch itU
and leap up at myselfX
or flinch backY
just in timeZ
nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp nbsp Yes we learn thatA2
It's not a terror it's pain we're talking aboutB2
those places in us like your dog's bruised headA
that are bruised forever that timeZ
never assuages neverC2
