the sad golden village in a bargeC
any more The sunsetD
will leave it alone If theE
curtains hang askewF
it is no one's faultG

everywhere the same soundH
of wheels going and thingsI
growing older growingJ
silent If the dogsK
bark to each otherL
all night and their eyesM
flash red that'sN
nobody's business They haveO
a great space of dark toF
bark across The rabbitsA
will bare their teeth atP
