The Bottom Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGDDAHGDDDIGFJK LMN

I stopped drinking on my way down the hillA
to the liquor store when two guys pulled upB
and tried to drag me into their pickup I crossed the streetC
then ran in the opposite direction puffingD
against the incline The stranger thrust into reverseE
and when I wouldn't talk to himF
threw a bag of McDonald's trash at meG
Stuck up bitch I stopped drinkingD
when I realized I was fightingD
for the vodka at the bottom of the hillA
more than I was fighting against the terribleH
things that could have happened to meG
inside the cab of that rusty Chevy I stopped drinkingD
before cell phones I stopped drinkingD
after Days of Wine and Roses I stopped drinkingD
even as I kept walking to El Prado SpiritsI
and the guy behind the counter who recognized meG
asked if I was alright I didn't tell himF
what had happened because he might have calledJ
the police and then I would have had to waitK
for them to arrive to fill out a report delaying my SmirnoffL
I stopped drinking even before I had that last sipM
as I ran back up the hill squeezing a bottle by its neckN
