Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIFGJKLM MN

A lust to fly has betrayed us againA
The better part of us has been smashedB
Broken painfully twisted and torn asideC
Our tears are songs for the beggarsD
To drink wineE
and mourn in stuporF
-
The tales of the IrokoG
Seeks many versionH
We seek a nameI
We demand a colorF
A reason to talkG
Oh Who will shoot the gun when we dieJ
The drunk old talking drum demandsK
Who cover our dry sagging breastL
When we sleepM
-
Witches we hear in our sleepM
The haunting osu of the pastN

Poet's note: The poem display the pains of old age and the story it fortells, the pains of being called witches and wizard and being abandon by those you call palms.
