Ten rolling fingers
Few bold and straight
Rest not assured
With faith and fate.
One foot front
The other behind
Life's a chase
Of stag and hind.
Defeaning ears
The shooting stars
Mending ends
Fateful bends
Fallen Angels
Fortune's tangles.
Bootless cries
Listless tries......
Allures and conjures
The destined stars
Upwards down
The oblong turns.
World-weary faces
With heads and hearts
Folds and scaffolds
Of star-ridden paths.
Follow the North Star
The better guide
The tip of iceberg
And the visible White.
The butt end of cigarette
And the half-burnt day
The chapter closes
With the ash- ridden tray.
